Microsoft Outlook email account setup without exchange activesync

  • Go to “File”, then select “Add Account”
  • The “Add New Account” window will appear. Select “Manually configure server settings or additional server types” and select “Next”
  • Next, you will see a new window asking you to select the mail server type, select “Internet E-Mail”, which by default should already be selected. Click Next
  • Next, you will see the window asking for all the account details. Below are the details you need to enter on this page.  
    • Enter your name
    • Enter your email address
    • Account Type: Select IMAP
    • Outgoing mail server: securemail.mylucidtech.com (no longer using mx1.exchange.goxtech.net)
    • Incoming mail server: securemail.mylucidtech.com (no longer using mx1.exchange.goxtech.net)
    • User Name: Enter your email address
    • Password: Enter your password

  

  • Before selecting next, click on the “More Settings …” button, choose the “Outgoing Server” tab and add a check mark in the “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication”.
  • Now choose the “Advanced” tab and enter the below settings.  
    • Incoming server (IMAP): 993
    • Use the following type of encrypted connection: SSL
    • Outgoing server (SMTP): 465
    • Use the following type of encrypted connection: SSL

  

  • Now click "OK", this will close the "Advanced Settings" window. Click "Next" and you are done!
